Impact Wrestling is going into 2020 with a lot of question marks. While it looks like one top star may be leaving the company, it also looks like another top star might be staying. However, other questions remain and one looks pretty cut and dry for a former X-Division Champion.
Jake Crist, formerly of oVe and Joey Ryan’s short lived “Cancel Culture” faction has dropped a post on Instagram alluding to his impending free agency at the start of the year. Crist has not been around much since the dissolution of the faction, and has not been a champion since losing the X-Division Title in July of 2019.
While it is unclear if companies will have interest in Crist as a solo star, Crist has currently distanced himself from the oVe gimmick and the Cancel Culture gimmick, rebranding himself as “The Modern Man In Black.” Crist may certainly attract attention, but we will have to wait and see where it brings him.
