IMPACT Wrestling Talent May Use Story Line To Move To AEW

Details are starting to spill out about the AEW/Impact partnership. While it doesn’t seem like we should be expecting a full blown invasion or crossover event, there’s a lot of interesting developments coming out of the news coming in.

As we reported earlier, it looks like The Good Brothers could be making their way to AEW for a match as a trade for Omega’s one off appearance with Impact on Tuesday, especially as the appearance is being done as a favor for Don Callis. Don seems to be the centerpiece of this deal, especially as another very interesting development is coming out of it.

Wrestling Inc. has learned that Don Callis’ contract with Impact may be expiring next month. Based on the news coming out of these talks between the two companies and some creative ideas, it seems that Callis will transition to AEW full-time to take a manager role for Omega.

This is not a confirmed plan, and there’s no indication Callis won’t re-sign with Impact. However, the real life friendship with Omega and Callis is definitely a heavy influence on this story line and this stage of the partnership, so there are lots of irons in the fire as the two companies work out the details. It’s possible Callis is helping aid the setup of this as a thank you on his way out the door to transition between companies. Of course, this is all speculation until things have been confirmed or shot down.
