Austin Gunn Found Out He Was Working All In Hours Before The Event

Austin Gunn has become a pretty regular fixture in AEW. Whether it’s being an animated member of the live crowd on Dynamite or an integral part of AEW Dark while teaming with his father, Gunn has become a noticed face on AEW television. One of his earliest wrestling appearances was adjacent to the company when he competed at All In back in September 2018 as part of the Over The Budget Battle Royal.

According to Gunn, he was a late addition because his father requested it. He spoke with Alicia Atout and revealed how little time he had to prepare.

I didn’t know I was on that show until maybe seven hours before. I was just there to support my dad and be there for him. We did an Indie show the day before and he was going to take the reins on All In. Seven hours before, he didn’t tell me, but he reached out said, ‘I really want Austin to feel what it’s like to be in front of that many people.’ He got it approved, told me, and it was unreal.”

Gunn has found himself in a nice position in AEW, but he’s worked hard to prove he deserves it. That hard work paid off with getting a main event on Dynamite recently, teaming with his father and Cody Rhodes to defeat the Dark Order back on November 4th. This could be the first of many main events for the Son of a Gunn. You can watch the rest of the interview below.
