Mobile Game WWE SuperCard Experiencing Massive Glitch For iOS Users Rendering App Unplayable

WWE SuperCard is one of the company’s most popular mobile games. The card battler has entered its 7th season and fans are still playing strong.

However, a recent update and lack of action by the game’s Developer Cat Daddy Games has left a portion of the community locked out and potentially worse.

A recent update to the game released for iOS users accidentally allowed players to access the debug menu, something usually only the developers can access. During this brief period of time, the players were allowed access to see the upcoming holiday events and promotions the game was going to introduce to fans at a later date. When Cat Daddy learned of this, it released a patch that rendered anyone who had downloaded the update unplayable. Over 24 hours ago, the developers tweeted out that they were investigating the incident, followed by the official SuperCard Help account tweeting that the game would be in maintenance mode for selected users. Later on, the same account revealed a new update was available and would be pushed out. This was the last anyone had heard from the account almost 24 hours ago.

The App Store has not had a new update for the game since yesterday, which was the same update that triggered this bug for what seems to be iOS users. The gripe several fans have had is that they hold events over the weekend. They promoted not only a Thanksgiving event for players to get special promotional cards, but the first event of the season featuring Adam Cole. Such problems can render an event unplayable for the audience, creating a scenario where a percentage of their players are now hindered because of the bugged update. It impairs them from being able to collect valuable in-game rewards and place them behind other people in the game.

This is a developing story, but the game has had a history of chaos during important events that have affected players’ progress. Just earlier this year, a pause in the game prevented several players from being able to acquire one of the first Edge cards since his return to active competition after not pushing the event to the next stage for several hours. The next stage was finally unlocked with only an hour left in the event time, leaving several users in the lurch. The developer has also caused glitches like releasing extra versions of the event card to players, allowing them to make it stronger than what would normally be allowed, or a known bug for this current event which was blocking progression in the Heroic Ring Domination mode.

The game is a clear favorite among fans and is a big moneymaker for Cat Daddy and 2K. Situations like this only make some players want to stop paying for the product.
