Drew McIntyre Talks UK Wrestling Fans And Will “Harass” Vince McMahon To Get Them A UK PPV

It’s been some time since WWE has held a pay per view outside North America that doesn’t include their deal with Saudi Arabia. They’ve had a special in Japan for the WWE Network and obviously the expansion with NXT: UK. However, there’s fans who would love to see the return of a pay per view from the UK. Drew McIntyre hears those fans, and he wants it as badly as they do.

In fact, Drew is willing to keep harassing Vince McMahon to make it happen.

Speaking with The Scotsman, McIntyre seems enthusiastic about the idea and seems like he really wants to make it happen. He spoke about the fans of the UK and how he’d like to make sure they get a pay per view event again.

“The UK has some of the most passionate loyal fans. The Superstars look forward to it because they don’t understand why the crowds are so rowdy – we have football crowds who chant, go mental, get drunk, it’s home for me but for the rest of the Superstars they think it’s cool to get over – my goal is to make it happen in future and it’s going to happen because I’m gonna harass Vince McMahon until it does. I talk a lot of crap online with Tyson Fury and Chris Sutton in particular – but whatever it takes to get the UK a significant PPV I’ll do. I have plans that I won’t mention publicly but the big one I will, and the one that WILL happen, is getting a WWE PPV back to the UK.”

Obviously the COVID-19 pandemic has made holding shows abroad difficult for the WWE. WWE hasn’t really left the state of Florida since the pandemic, but hopefully when things start to blow over, McIntyre can make things happen.
