More On Chelsea Green’s Debut & The Women’s Fatal Four Way On Smackdown

SmackDown had a debut on Friday when Chelsea Green made her arrival on the blue brand. Vince McMahon ordered the script to be redone in its entirety on Friday morning, leading to some chaos through the day. We’ve reported on some of it, including how the Women’s Survivor Series qualifying match had two different finishes.

Chelsea Green was brought into the equation after the first script was done. She lives close to the ThunderDome, so the decision to bring her in came down to being located in a opportune location. Dave Meltzer had more on the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio.

“Chelsea Green was not on that show, but she lives close and you know somehow, some way someone suggest to Vince or Bruce that Chelsea Green go over, and she’s there, and so Liv Morgan, when the show was originally written Liv Morgan was going to win a match to go to Survivor Series, and she ended up doing that.”

Green’s injury inevitably wound up making the company go back to the original finish of Morgan winning the match, an unfortunate moment for Green after injurying the same wrist she broke in her NXT debut. This is just a case of the plans changing and then circumstance forcing them to revert to the original plan.
