AEW Full Gear featured an Elite Deletion match between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara, which was cinematic in nature. The match concluded with Hardy throwing Guevara into a dustbin. It seems there was a lot of effort put into the match in order to make it a success.
As reported by Fightful Select, the Elite Deletion match was filmed a week in advance. It was also said that “several wrestlers involved” had “heavy input regarding what they would do in the match. No specific individual received credits for their contribution, so it seemed more like a group effort.
With the great reception of the Elite Deletion match by fans and wrestlers alike, it will be interesting to see when the company announces another cinematic match.
