Jim Cornette recently took to twitter having just watched the NXT UK Championship match between challenger Ilja Dragunov and Champion Walter.
In the tweet the outspoken wrestling personality would go on to praise the two combatants for putting on the type of match that he had always hoped wrestling would evolve into.
Jim Cornette is not the only wrestling personality/journalist to have spoken in admiration for the match, with Dave Meltzer giving the match his patterned 5 star approval.
Cornette is best known these days for his Podcasts Corny’s Dive Thru and the Jim Cornette Experience, where he has become most well known for his visceral and over top out bursts regarding the modern wrestling product, in Particular AEW. So it is quite rare for him to have something positive to say with regards to the new generation of performers, however in his tweet you can see he still takes a shot at the current state of wrestling despite his praise of the match.
It remains to be seen if he will go into further details about the match on either of his two wrestling podcasts. What do you make of Jim Cornette’s comments on the match?
