News From Recent MLW Fusion Tapings

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, a lot of places and professions are trying to adjust to a new normal or just get back to business as usual in these times. Pro wrestling has been no different, as many companies have taken strides and extra precautions to guarantee the safety of their workers and in the case of events where fans are being allowed into the venue, the fans as well.

MLW has had to take steps of their own as they prepare to resume filming MLW Fusion during the pandemic and their workers have seemingly appreciated their efforts to keep them safe.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently reported on Fightful Select that many wrestlers didn’t just appreciate everything MLW did to show safety during the recent Fusion tapings, but were applauded for the extra mile they went. Sapp went on to reveal that wasn’t the only news from the Fusion tapings.

As mentioned last week, Major League Wrestling returned to taping, which took place from the weekend through the early part of last week. We got a lot of positive feedback from wrestlers there about the COVID protocols in place. Many wrestled their matches, and went back to the hotels. We were also told MLW had a CDC official present in order to help oversee that things went well. In addition, we’ve been told there are some surprising, bigger names that were at the Major League Wrestling tapings that we wouldn’t expect, which have since been revealed to be Lio Rush, ACH and Shawn Daivari.

Given the recent outbreaks in the wrestling world at the independent festival The Collective, along with another outbreak at the WWE Performance Center, it’s good to see companies taking extra steps to keep their workers safe and sound.
