Drew McIntyre; Randy Was So Good, He Got Away With Murder

Before he became the locker room leader that he is today, Randy Orton was the brash prospect who thought he could do no wrong.

Many stories have been told of Orton’s attitude issues during his early days in WWE. He was suspended for unprofessional conduct and for violating the WWE Wellness program during his WWE career, and some have said that Orton should have been fired for his actions.

Speaking to Metro UK, Drew McIntyre weighed in on how Orton got away with murder.

“I was obviously aware of it. I didn’t get jealous, I never had that mentality but it was interesting to hear. I never saw it at the worst, I guess – I heard the stories from the people that were there. I saw enough that I spoke about during the promos live on television. There’s a lot of truth to this story, and the things that Randy got away with. He says himself, he should have been fired a lot of times. The truth is, he was so good, so talented and had so much potential, that’s why he got away with murder,” said McIntyre.

This is when wrestling blurs the lines. It always makes it feel more authentic and personal. This feud has been like that throughout.

McIntyre is set to face Orton insice Hell in a Cell at WWE Hell in a Cell.
