AEW have confirmed all eight competitors and the four matches for the opening round of the AEW world title tournament. During last night’s special one year anniversary edition of Dynamite, Penta El Zero and Joey Janela were announced as the final two participants in the tournament.
The tournament will commence next week on Dynamite. Below is a tweet from AEW confirming the official bracket of the tournament.
The main story coming out of these tournament appears to be the budding feud between former AEW tag team champions Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega. This feud has been bubbling nicely for months now, and to many is the most exciting thing on AEW Dynamite.
With these two men drawn on opposite sides of the bracket, all indicators seem to point to a Kenny Omega vs Adam Page match in the final of the AEW world title tournament.
