Exclusive: AEW Has Renewed Interest In Top Wrestling Talent

Back in January of this year we exclusively reported that top wrestling star Mance Warner was backstage at an AEW Dynamite event in Cleveland, Ohio and that the company was giving him a look at potentially bringing him in. However, Warner’s contract with MLW made that impossible.

We also exclusively reported earlier this year that Mance Warner was also spotted backstage at AEW’s Revolution PPV event in Chicago, Illinois. This marked multiple times that Warner had been invited backstage for an AEW event, but again issues with his MLW contract prohibited any further development.

I can now confirm that interest has once again picked up from AEW in regards to Mance Warner. After speaking to my sources close to the situation I was told “AEW 100% has interest” in Mance Warner.

Mance Warner’s current contract situation with Major League Wrestling is indeed a “sticky situation.” Warner spoke with Wrestling Inc. a few months back, and was asked if his MLW contract allows him to work with AEW like some of the company’s previous talents were able to do, to which he stated:

“Hell, I don’t even know. I would have to look at [my contract] and take a look at it. I’m not sure. I would say that that goes to some agent or something, but you know ol’ Mancer ain’t got no damn agent.”

Interestingly enough.. Back on August 28th of this year, Mance Warner filed for two trademarks. The first being for his in-ring name “Mance Warner,” and the other was for his moniker “Southern Psycho.”

Currently, Mance Warner’s contract status with MLW is unknown. I have reached out to MLW for a statement on his status with the company, but have yet to receive a reply.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about anything with Mance Warner and AEW, or his contract status with MLW.
