NXT Were Set To Debut New Concept, Before COVID-19 Outbreak

WWE were planning to debut NXT Underground before the most recent outbreak COVID-19. The recent outbreak of COVID-19 among the superstars of NXT, is believed to have started after an NXT talent threw a party that was attended by other trainees

According to a report by Fightful Select, before the latest outbreak, there were talks of a new NXT concept, and at one time, this was set to be called “NXT Underground”.

The concept was said to be a very different prospect from RAW Underground. It was going to be used feature new talent not otherwise included on NXT, including unused talent and recent EVOLVE signings.

The show was in the planning stages last month, however the general idea was discussed as early as last year. Some were against the idea, so it was put on hold. WWE even went as far as to shoot a pilot at the Performance Center in 2019.

If this idea does end up making a comeback, it would certainly be welcomed by talents that aren’t getting any time to shine on NXT right now. So NXT fans, do you want to see ‘NXT Underground’?
