Update on WWE COVID-19 Situation

As discussed on Sunday evening Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, and Nikki Cross were all pulled from the WWE Clash of Champions PPV event and WWE claimed that the reason for this was due to them not being medically cleared.  The women do not have COVID but simply came into contact with people who did.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that Jax and Baszler are being kept off TV for two weeks as a precautionary measure provided they do not test positive for COVID-19.

Regarding Cross, she went into quarantine September 25, but Cross’ current health situation is unknown and she might be out for a “minimum of two weeks.”

Retribution wasn’t at night’s Raw and didn’t appear for similar reasons. Cedric Alexander wasn’t on the show, but there’s no word yet on Alexander’s COVID-19 status.

T-BAR from Retribution took to Twitter today and commented on fan reaction to how Retribution was held off WWE Clash of Champions and last night’s RAW due to the COVID-19 situation.

WrestlingInc.com has also reported that two Raw referees are quarantining at the moment for precautionary reasons but not mentioned any names as of yet.
