Chris Jericho In Twitter War With Retribution

Let the games begin! AEW Dynamite is in full swing as is coming up for it’s one year anniversary since it debuted on TNT on Wednesday.

Since then WWE has moved their NXT show to Wednesday night also, showing on the USA Network and has created the self entitled ‘Wednesday Night War’ between AEW Dynamite and NXT – a play on the popular ‘Monday Night Wars’ between Vince McMahon’s WWE Monday Night Raw and Ted Turners WCW Monday Night Nitro when ran throughout the 1990’s.

One person who adds fuel to the fire in regards to the ‘Wednesday Night Wars’ is former WWE and AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. The self proclaimed ‘Demo God’ has been very vocal when it comes to taking a dig at his former employees, whether it’s spoiling taped match results to taking cheap shots at former WWE creative ideas live on air, Jericho has done it all without any reply from his former employers, that is until now anyway!

WWE’s newest contracted wrestlers, Reckoning, Mace, Slapjack and T-Bar from the newest faction ‘Retribution’ clearly didn’t receive the memo from WWE to not retaliate.

When David LaGreca, Host of Busted Open FM, tweeted, asking why Retribution were ‘offered contracts’ T-Bar replied with a keyfabe answer. Le Champion replied ‘Huh?’

T-Bar then couldn’t resist in giving Jericho a taste of his own medicine by replying with a ‘Huh?’ of his own, with a screenshot of a google news search of Fozzy being a cause of a further outspread of COVID-19 cases.

I’m sure this will not be received without a further reply from Jericho or AEW themselves, whether it’s in the form of another tweet or a shot directed at them on live television. As of writing there has been no reply yet.
