Top Wrestling Stars Share Stories On Being Told To Change Their Look To Be Successful

Many top Wrestling stars around the world have commented on being told to change their looks in order to achieve success in the wrestling business.

Responding to a tweet from WrestleLab, an ‘experimental’ indie wrestling promotion, stars such as NXT talent Bronson Reed, NJPW Star Will Osprey, Impact Star Jordynne Grace and even wrestling legend Shane ‘Hurricane’ Helms would join other fellow wrestlers in discussing the insulting exchanges:

I was told by multiple people to lose at least 30 pounds if I wanted to be signed by WWE, mind you the people that told me that didn't work for the company any more.

Being asked to change your gimmick, so you can ‘fit the mould’ is nothing new in wrestling. However in 2020, there are so many different types of wrestlers, of all shapes, sizes, styles, and looks, that are hugely successful all around the world in pro wrestling.
