Top NXT Star Wants To Work More With AJ Styles

Finn Balor has come out and said he would love to work more with AJ Styles.

Surprisingly, despite having a very similar path throughout their careers, ‘The Prince’ & ‘The Phenomenal One’ have not crossed paths much. Even in WWE they have only had one match, at WWE TLC 2017, where Aj had to step in at short notice for an injured Bray Wyatt. On that occasion it would be ‘The Demon’ Finn Balor who came out on top. Balor has now stated that he would love to work with Styles more

Balor was interviewed by CBS Sports, and he discussed the idea of working with Styles in WWE:

Obviously, me and AJ have kind of a storied history, We’ve always kind of crossed paths but never really interacted too much. When I went to Japan, he was in TNA. When I came to the U.S., he went to Japan. When I came to Raw, he went to SmackDown. So, we’ve always kind of missed each other outside of that one match we had, and that was sprung on us at the last minute. But we’ve got very similar paths and a lot of mutual friends. He’s someone I would love to not only tag with but be in the ring in some capacity. Whether it’s standing across the ring from him one-on-one or if it’s standing side-by-side, I think we would make a great tag team. Whether it’s in NXT, Raw or SmackDown, I would love to be in there with AJ.”

Balor and Styles are currently on different brands, with Balor competing on NXT and Styles appearing on SmackDown.

Balor is set to challenge for the NXT Championship NXT at Super Tuesday, this Tuesday, in a historic fatal four-way Iron Man match against Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole. Can ‘The Prince’, once again become the king of NXT? We won’t have to wait very long to find out!
