More AEW Stars Missed Television Tapings Than WWE Superstars

The COVID-19 outbreak shows no signs of stopping and has taken over the world, including professional wrestling. Both WWE and AEW have continued to produce weekly content during these difficult times. With Florida deeming wrestling as an essential business, the promotions have less to worry about.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, many more AEW performers stayed at home in comparison to WWE Superstars. It was said that  29% of the AEW roster did not attend the latest television tapings. Only a few WWE Superstars stayed home, that too for unavoidable reasons.

It is also notable that 29 percent of the talent on the AEW roster worked the most recent set of tapings. In WWE, other than Reigns, Kyle O’Reilly and the NXT announcing team, there is no word of anyone not working.

It was said that everyone in AEW would be paid regardless of whether they attend the tapings or not, including those who have not signed yearly contracts. However, the company is expected to be bringing in many performers for Double Or Nothing.
