Velveteen Dream announced during the beginning of NXT’s days on the USA Network that he was going away. Fans are still eagerly waiting for his return.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked a question regarding Velveteen Dream’s return status. Here is what he said:
“I have not heard anything about him in a long time. I know the injury was pretty serious […] back injury.”
So it is still unknown when Velveteen Dream will be returning to the ring. WWE apparently has big plans in store for the NXT Superstar once he does, so we can hope it will be sooner rather than later.
