Seth Rollins Didn’t Know “The Fiend” Red Light Was Going to Stay On

When The Fiend first debuted at Summerslam against Finn Balor, the red light didn’t exist at the time and was just normal lighting. At Hell in a Cell, the red light stayed on for the whole match and has been a mainstay in Bray Wyatt’s matches since then.

Not only do the fans in attendance have trouble seeing those matches but it appears that whoever is wrestling against The Fiend also struggle too, at least according to Seth Rollins.

Rollins spoke about his matches against The Fiend on WWE Backstage this past week:

I had no idea it was going to stay on. It was part of his entrance and then it just never turned off. That was a mess for me. You’re in this dark red, the cell is also red. You’re trying to navigate around the edge of the cell and it’s very tight quarters to begin with. It was a mess. It was very difficult to deal with, especially not knowing it was going to happen. I, for one, am not a fan. I feel like it affects my performance, personally. I got accustomed to doing it because we had a bunch of matches after that, but it was super weird at first. The cell didn’t help.

Following Rollins defeating The Fiend, fans turned on Rollins and started chanting for refunds along with their competitor in WWE, AEW.
