Ever since Starrcast III in Chicago when CM Punk stated that he would listen to any phone calls from Triple H or Vince McMahon rumors have swirled consistently.
PW Insider reported that ‘numerous sources’ confirmed that Punk recently was at the Fox Studios in LA for a meeting regarding an on-air role as part of the new one-hour show, WWE Backstage.
It has also been reported that Renee Young did some test runs with the former WWE star but nothing has been confirmed that CM Punk has signed on to do the series.
WWE has also tried to have Paige, Rey Mysterio, and Sean Waltman for on-air roles for WWE Backstage as well.
It has also been noted that Punk has been interested in broadcasting since his failed MMA career.
