AEW Announces Start Date For Show On TNT

Last year around this time of year All Elite Wrestling wasn’t on the tip of everyone’s tongue, let alone in the imagination of most fans.

Cody and Matt and Nick Jackson were gearing up for All In. A supposed one off pay per view event based on a bet that they couldn’t fill a 10,000 seat arena.

After All In, long time wrestling fan and billionaire Tony Khan reached out to Cody and the Jackson’s with an idea to start a wrestling company. Roster members were announced, the name of the company was announced and soon enough there were press conferences and events.

Most critics said they wouldn’t be a viable company without television time. Then the announcement was made that TNT would be airing a weekly television show for AEW. The name yet to be decided and the date to be “in the fall”. Today is the day the date has been nailed down. Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019.

The time has yet to be determined, as it looks like the show will be competing for wrestling fans eyeballs with NXT and Beyond Wrestling’s Uncharted Territory.
