Johnny Gargano Tweets Stare down With Orange Cassidy – Calls Him Greatest Wrestler He’s Ever Seen

Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy has been wrestling for the better part of a decade and is just now finally seeing his hard work pay off.

Known for his lackadaisical in ring approach and too cool for this attitude, Orange is a divisive wrestler when it comes to wrestling progressives and wrestling purists.

It’s one of those, you either get it or you don’t acts that has made it to Beyond Wrestling, Evolve and PWG. Those companies are more known for in ring work over schtick, but Orange is one of the few wrestlers who can have his juice and drink it too.

Johnny Gargano is considered by some to be the best wrestler in the world. His string of NXT Takeover matches and personal feuds has rocketed Johnny to the top of most wrestling purists lists.

With WWE airing the Evolve 10th anniversary show on the WWE Network this weekend, some Evolve alum showed up to pay their respects to the company that helped put them on the map. At the end of the Network special, Johnny Gargano came out to say some kind words about Akira Tozawa.

The next night, while WWE was having Extreme Rules, Evolve was having their 132nd show. Johnny Gargano was there, he got in the ring to speak with Josh Briggs and Orange Cassidy, the latter getting a tweet from Johnny’s Twitter account.

Cassidy has already appeared for All Elite Wrestling. Time will tell if WWE is willing to take a chance on Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy. WWE did sign Stokley Hathaway a month or two after Stokely’s match with Orange, so we know Cassidy is at least on their radar.
