REPORT: WWE Given Up On Grittier Feel For RAW

WWE has been trying to do all they can in order to improve the dwindling ratings. They dropped the crowd lights, changed their graphics to black and white for a more ”grittier” feel.

However, it seems that the company has already dropped the idea, even though Mick Foley himself put over WWE’s new direction.

On  Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez discussed WWE’s latest attempt at improving ratings by making the third hour a grittier show.  He said WWE has dropped dimming the lights and changing the graphics to black and white. It lasted only two weeks.

WWE will continue to try new techniques to help with the ratings. The third gritty hour of RAW did not do much, especially since fans saw the gritty theme for only twenty minutes last week due to lighting the crowd for the Electric Chair segment.
