Hideo Itami and Tye Dillinger had asked for their release from WWE and subsequently were granted their release. They were released along with TJP, which was a surprise.
Dillinger and Itami will be known as Gavin Spears and Kenta respectively when they return to the independent circuit. While there was a lot of support for them, some clearly won’t be missing them.
Brad Shepard reported that a “high-level” source in WWE remarked that neither Spears or Kenta will be missed very much in the company.
A high level source in #WWE on recent Superstar releases: “I always thought Dillinger and Kenta stunk.”
We will have to wait and see what they do in the indies.
