WWE has changed in ways, since superstars who normally would have never been pushed, are getting big pushes. This is largely due to Daniel Bryan.
Dave Meltzer mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that Daniel Bryan losing to Kofi Kingston again on Smackdown Live was his idea as he is looking for people to compete against. Here is what he said:
That’s probably [Daniel Bryan’s] idea. I’m sure that he’s got a lot of what’s the word I’m looking for? He’s got a lot of input about what’s going on. I mean, Mustafa Ali’s his guy essentially. So you know look, he’s looking to make contenders for himself. I’ll put it this way, he’s right on the border. One more time and I’ll think it’s a cliche, now it’s three. Maybe it’s one too many at this point.”
WWE didn’t book Kofi Kingston to beat Daniel Bryan clean in a singles match this week on SmackDown, as it was a tag team match, so the loss wasn’t as important. It’s still great to see Bryan putting over superstars.
