Former Ring Of Honor World Champion No Shows Independent Wrestling Event

When it comes to independent wrestling, there are very rarely contracts signed for talents to appear on shows. Usually it comes to a word is bond type deal.

Davey Richards basically retired from wrestling to become a full time paramedic. During his career he was most famous as being part of the tag team The American Wolves with Eddie Edwards. Davey won the Ring Of Honor World Championship, as well as competed for TNA and had a cameo appearance in NXT. In some circles Davey Richards is a name that will bring people to a show. That’s why Alpha-1 Wrestling attempted to book Richards for an upcoming show, even though he had no showed on them in the past.

Davey appears to have pulled out from the event for the same reason as before.. he “didn’t feel like it”. Wrestler All-Ego Ethan Page, who is affiliated with Alpha-1 also posted thoughts on the manner.

Within a day Alpha-1 was able to book a replacement, who does have more name value and will be more entertaining.
