WWE Could Be Looking For A ‘Cheap Finish’ in Elimination Chamber Match

WWE has 6 matches in store for the main card on Sunday along with a Cruiserweight Championship match on the pre-show.

The current betting odds for the match with Finn Balor facing off against Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush come with very close numbers. Balor is looking to win his first Intercontinental Championship but has to get through the duo at one time in a handicap match.

Dave Meltzer discussed this booking idea recently on Wrestling Observer Radio , he didn’t understand why they would decide on a handicap match this early on in the feud. Claiming WWE might be looking for an easy out with that type of match.

“If Bobby’s going to retain then it makes no [sense], you know because I thought the whole idea was for Finn to be able to beat Lio Rush and get the championship that way and avoid Bobby Lashley losing to Finn.”

“Obviously it could go either way, but I wouldn’t have booked — If it was like the fourth meeting down and Lio Rush had kept interfering so then Finn goes, ‘I want them in a handicap match,’ that’s one thing. When you start off in a handicap match rather than doing the big singles match that kinda tells me that you’re looking for a cheap finish.”

Time will tell and we will find out what happens on Sunday during the Elimination Chamber.
