As reported earlier, Mustafa Ali was pulled from the Elimination Chamber match due to an injury. A big gauntlet match will take place on this week’s Smackdown Live, which Ali won’t be a part of.
Dave Meltzer commented on Wrestling Observer Radio and discussed the possible candidates who might replace Mustafa Ali. Here is what he said:
“Rey Mysterio and Andrade would possibly be your leading candidates for that spot.”
It was noted that Shinsuke Nakamura or Rusev could be in the match as well. But since they are going to be in a triple threat match for R-Truth’s US title, that most likely won’t be happening. We will have to wait and see what happens.
