Mickie James Talks Her Twitter Feud With Becky Lynch, Favorite Matches And More

WWE veteran Mickie James recently spoke with Chris Van Vilet. Among other topics of discussion, she talked about her Twitter feud with Becky Lynch, favorite matches and more.

ON her Twitter feud with Becky Lynch:

“Relax, folks. It’s Twitter. It’s cool. She’s “The Man,” but I’m “The Woman.” Women have always been the dominant sex. If you want to do this “I’m the man,” thing, which I think went out in 2010, then go ahead. That’s cool but I’m a grown ass woman and I’m proud of it.

I love Becky, though. I do respect her. I think she’s fantastic. She’s extremely talented. I’m just better.”

How draining a pro wrestling schedule is:

“People don’t understand that this grind takes such a drain on you. Not just physically, but emotionally. It’s a lot. Especially if you allow yourself to be completely wrapped up in this world and you find your value based on what your television [position] is. You’ll never be happy or satisfied. Now I find my happiness in my music, what I’m doing in the ring, and being a mom. No one thing controls my happiness.”

On her favorite matches:

“WrestleMania with Trish Stratus. Lita’s final match, and the cage match with Lisa [Marie Varon], it would have been Tara there [in TNA]. Those are the top three but there have been so many amazing moments. The falls count anywhere match with Melina. There was a match in Alaska that I had with Beth Phoenix at a house show where we had a standing ovation from Ric Flair, Triple H, John Cena, and Arn Anderson. I got to work with her so much that we knew each other’s body language. Got a standing ovation from the entire locker room. It was amazing.”
