Mark Henry Comments On Randy Orton’s Talk About AEW

As previously reported, Randy Orton is reportedly in talks with AEW. It is unsure what Randy will do in this case, since he has been with WWE since 2002. Even if he decides to leave, it won’t be before 2020 as he signed a 10-year deal back in 2010.

On Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry discussed the rumors of Randy Orton speaking to AEW. He tried to explain why Orton is willing to hear AEW out. Here is what he said:

“He’s always been a good businessman. He’s always, you know took the backseat when he should have said, ‘Hey guys, I’m not doing that.’ He’s always been a good businessman. So why wouldn’t he be a good businessman and say, ‘You know what? I need to entertain this conversation.”

“It’s not about the money, it’s about creative control. I think that it would be more creative control and time off with Randy.”

Bully Ray also mentioned that AEW could offer John Cena as much money as he wanted, but Cena still wouldn’t sign with AEW as he is loyal to WWE. That isn’t the case with Orton. Mark Henry agreed with that statement as well.

Even if Orton is willing to listen to AEW, it doesn’t mean he will be leaving WWE. However, anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling. So we will have to wait and see what happens.
