Is An Appearance From Roman Reigns Sunday At The Royal Rumble Possible?

On the October 22nd, 2018 episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, Roman Reigns announced that the leukemia he had been diagnosed with 11 years prior had once again returned. Due to him needing to take time away from WWE to focus on his battle with leukemia, he also announced that he was relinquishing the Universal Title.

Roman’s health status, and timetable for a WWE return is often a topic of discussion. On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez points out that there was a couple of times on this week’s RAW that Roman Reigns was mentioned or that references to his name or character were dropped during the broadcast.

These mentions of Reigns on last night’s RAW had Alvarez questioning whether or not Roman might appear at Sunday’s Royal Rumble PPV. When co-host Dave Meltzer was asked about a possible Reigns appearance, he didn’t rule it out.

Regarding Roman Reigns potentially making an appearance at the Royal Rumble PPV on Sunday, Meltzer said:

“Not that I’m aware of. I mean, I suppose it’s possible. I mean he could come. It’s not like he’s confined to a hospital bed or anything like that. The last I heard he was training in Hawaii so he’s not at home or maybe he is now, but he wasn’t last week.”

If we hear anything else about potential Royal Rumble appearances on Sunday we will let you know.
