Many will say that SmackDown LIVE Superstar “The MAN” Becky Lynch is currently the hottest thing going in WWE, despite recently losing her SmackDown Women’s Title to Asuka at WWE’s TLC PPV.
While Becky Lynch remains in the title picture, it appears unlikely that “The Man” will win back her belt anytime soon. Becky Lynch’s title run was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, and Bryan Alvarez noted that Becky needed to lose the title in order for WWE to pull off their future plans.
Regarding Becky Lynch, Alvarez said:
“Asuka being slid to make it a three-way and winning the title, I mean there’s a reason they did that. They’re going with Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch and Charlotte in some form or fashion between now and Mania. So in order to do that they wanted the belt off of both of them so Asuka ended up with the belt.”
“Like I don’t expect Becky Lynch to win that title at the Royal Rumble. I don’t know what they finish is gonna be, I don’t know if Ronda will interfere I mean she’s gonna be there so she could.”
