Before the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 13, every single title match saw the title change hands. So, the stakes for Kenny Omega defending his IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi were further raised.
The two competitors put on an instant classic, putting their bodies on the line in various brutal spots. Neither of the two gave up, showing just how much the title meant to them.
However in the end, The Ace would pick up the win with a High Five Flow. Thus he became the new IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
