WWE is no longer the only wrestling promotion where one can be successful and famous. It is entirely possible that a superstar had a better gimmick outside WWE. Such is the case for Bubba Ray Dudley.
Bubba became Bully Ray in TNA, and he was very successful with that character. He even uses it in ROH now.
A fan commented on Twitter that how great it would have been if WWE used the Bully Ray character. Seeing this, Bubba would reply:
“As I’ve stated in the past, we came close…real close…48hrs away close. It was supposed to happen on the night we said goodbye on Raw. Oh well…their loss,”
