WWE Was Not Interested in Signing Jack Perry

0

On this past week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, it was announced that one of the original four pillars of the company Jack Perry was resigning with the company. Reports were that his contract was ending so it makes sense AEW resigned but it seems if Perry had become a free agent, there wasn’t gonna be much interest from WWE.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, they learned that on the WWE side of things that there were barely any discussions to bring Jack Perry to WWE if he became a free agent.

“Sources indicate that there was never much of an appetite to bring Perry into the company. The prevailing feeling was that he didn’t fit in WWE’s current landscape and was never viewed as a realistic target.”

There is obvious history between Perry and new WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk that took place at All In 2023 which led to a backstage incident. It would make sense that it could have been a deterrent of WWE wanting to bring in Perry but has not been reported on why they weren’t interested.

Perry has been a day one AEW wrestler. He has been the TNT, FTW, National and Tag Team Champion in his 7 years with the company.  Many people expect Perry to be a big time player in the future as he is only 29 years old.
