Is WWE Ending Its Brand Split?

In recent months, World Wrestling Entertainment’s performers have been crossing over between brands more often. Friday Night SmackDown tag team champions the Usos have been engaged in a feud with Monday Night Raw tag team champs RK-Bro, for instance. Their feud is set to culminate at the WrestleMania Backlash  pay per view.  However, despite the softening of the split between “red” and “blue” brands,  Wrestling Inc reports that there are no immediate plans to end the brand split.

Raw and SmackDown will, for the time being, remain separate brands, the report suggests, while noting that plans are always subject to change. WWE’s plan instead is to unify the Raw and SmackDown tag team championships. Following WrestleMania Backlash, the tag team champions will appear on both shows, in the vein of Roman Reigns who has worked Raw and SmackDown since his WrestleMania 38 unification win.

While Raw and SmackDown will remain separate, it seems their performers will be meeting in the ring more often.
