Now that the first AEW Dynamite is in the books, Cody vs. Chris Jericho for the All Elite Wrestling Championship is officially happening at Full Gear.
The feud started off with a bang during the inaugural Dynamite show. After Cody dispatched Sammy Guevara in the first match. World champion Chris Jericho ran to the ring and attacked Cody.
Later in the night after Jericho, Santana and Ortiz won the main event match. They began a beat down on the Young Bucks, which brought out Cody to try and save the day. Soon many AEW stars were embattled in the altercation and Dynamite went off the air with Cody, Dustin Rhodes and the Young Bucks piled up and Jericho, Ortiz, Santana, Guevara and Jake Hager standing tall.
Jericho was at New York Comic Con and Cody appeared, then attacked him on stage.
