Enzo Amore Mistakes King Kong Bundy For George “The Animal” Steele In Twitter Tribute
The wrestling world lost another legend yesterday as the news of the passing of King Kong Bundy broke late last night.
Former WWE Superstar Enzo Amore took to twitter last night, to pay tribute to Bundy.. well.. kinda.
Enzo told a story about going to shows with his grandparents as a kid, and talked about his grandma “hyping” up Bundy the whole car ride there.. However, he finished his tribute up by revealing that didn’t know who he was talking about. Enzo mentioned that he would never forget “the guy w/the green tongue who ate the turnbuckle.” Which is obviously NOT King Kong Bundy, as he was instead describing George “The Animal” Steele.
Enzo tweeted:
“🙏🏼 #RIPKingKongBuddy the epitome of prowrestlin i recall goin 2 shows @ MSG w/ my grandparents, my Grandma Raphaela loved em & hyped em up the whole ride in, plenty of wrestlers risked it all that night, but I never forgot the guy w/ the green tongue who ate the turnbuckle 💪🏼”
