Kenny Omega Talks About Possibility Of Kota Ibushi Working With AEW

One of the most exciting moments of 2018 saw the reformation of The Golden Lovers last year in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

With Omega leaving New Japan it has left many wondering what that means for Ibushi and whether or not we can expect to see Kota join All Elite Wrestling.

Kenny Omega was recently a guest on Wrestling Observer Radio, and discussed the topic of Kota Ibushi possibly joining All Elite Wrestling in some form. Omega revealed that Ibushi is currently running a pro wrestling school in Japan, and that his obligations there could restrict his involvement in AEW.

Regarding Kota Ibushi and AEW, Kenny Omega said:

“Absolutely — by all means, we would love to use Kota. I wish he was here all the time. He would be the perfect roommate if he liked America.”

“I’m probably going to relocate to America, as well. He actually has a wrestling school now. Yeah, he’s got a wrestling school in Japan. We’re going to be supportive of that. He has a couple commitments of that as of now. But again, door is wide open.”

We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about Kota Ibushi potentially working with AEW.
