The PFL and Francis Ngannou are no more.

A move that was made three years ago has turned into a one fight deal and a lot of complications both behind the scenes and with builds to fights for the Professional Fighters League and former heavyweight star from the UFC, Francis Ngannou.

In a statement made by the PFL, they ensured they have great respect for Ngannou and wish him the very best.

“The Professional Fighters League has made the decision to part ways with Francis Ngannou. We have great respect for Francis as both an athlete and a person, and we wish him success in the next chapter of his combat sports career. The PFL remains focused on recruiting and signing the best athletes in the sport while continuing to deliver world-class competition for fans around the globe.”

During his time with PFL, Ngannou also fought in boxing against Tyson Fury in a close contest that resulted in Fury winning by decision, and also against Anthony Joshua, who finished Ngannou in the second round via KO.
