Drew McIntyre screwed Cody Rhodes out of an elimination chamber win last weekend and it was immediately made official that because of it, Drew would defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes on SmackDown. Well, tonight is the night and it wasn’t in Drew’s favor.
After a hard fought battle that saw the announcers table collapse, Drew putting Cody through a table, both men using each others finishers, two referee bumps and Jacob Fatu getting involved, Cody finally finished the match with the Cross-Rhodes and is the new WWE Champion. Cody will now defend the gold at WrestleMania against Elimination Chamber winner, Randy Orton.
