Matt Hardy: WWE Doesn’t Have a White-Hot Story Right Now, That Is What Would Drive Those Great Ticket Sales
Matt Hardy chimed in on the ticket sales for WrestleMania.
As the days go by, WrestleMania 42 is not too far off from going down, but with the build and the same location a year later, it has been hard for WWE fans to want to purchase tickets or book trips to Vegas a year after having to spend so much on their first trip to WrestleMania 41.
Matt Hardy addressed the situation on the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast where he believes that the back-to-back trips is taking a heavy effect on the poor ticket sales.
“I still think WWE does have a lot of buzz overall. I feel like just how they’ve diversified themselves over platforms, Netflix, whatnot, I mean I feel like WWE still feels bigger than ever. But with that being said, I also feel like they don’t have a white hot character, they don’t have a white hot story right now, and I feel like that is the thing you need. That is what drives those great ticket sales.”
The current slated main event for night two of WrestleMania 42 is expected to be between CM Punk and Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship.
