Randy Orton Says He Has Spoken with Je’Von Evans About Taking Care of Himself and His Body

Randy Orton wants the best for the next generation.

While speaking with Pat McAfee, Randy Orton reflected on the moveset he had when he first started in the business and how down the line, things needed to change so he could take care of his body, a piece of advice he has been sharing with Je’Von Evans, who can do unbelievable things in the ring when he is out there.

“Early on in my career, I was horrible with my body. I was doing all sorts of shit that I shouldn’t have been doing. I kind of had a reality check. I turned things around. The in-ring work, I make sure that everything that I’m doing, there is a reason why I’m doing it. I’m not just throwing myself around. I see young guys come up and they don’t hurt. Je’Von Evans, perfect example. He is incredible, but I’ve had a couple of talks with him because he’s doing so many things that nobody else can do and he doesn’t need to do them all every night,” he said.

Evans came up short in his first Elimination Chamber, but Orton would go on to win his second Chamber match to earn a shot at the WWE Undisputed Championship, whether it be the current champion Drew McIntyre or Cody Rhodes after the March 6 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
