Cody Rhodes: I Know There Is a Little Bit of Impatience, But I Think We’re Sitting on a Sleeper WrestleMania
Cody Rhodes is enjoying the season so far.
While speaking with Mostly Sports, Cody Rhodes was asked about the current landscape to the road to WrestleMania 42 and how unpredictable it could be when the time does come for night one and two to kick off.
“Enjoy the season. It’s unpredictable this year. I know there’s a little bit of impatience in general, what are the matches — it’s a Road To WrestleMania and I think what Triple H will — I think there’s a sleeper WrestleMania emerging if that makes any sense. Sometimes the tenures are very obvious, sometimes the big staple pieces like John Cena’s final [Mania match]. I think we’re sitting on a sleeper mania here.”
Rhodes lost his shot at being in the main event due to interference from Drew McIntyre at the 2026 Elimination Chamber, however, he has an upcoming title match against McIntyre for the Undisputed Championship on the March 6 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
The winner will battle Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 for the WWE Undisputed Championship.
