AJ Lee: Winning The Women’s Intercontinental Championship from Becky Lynch Was Like Sprinkles on Top of the Sundae

In her adopted hometown of Chicago, AJ Lee had her first singles match in over a decade when she fought and defeated Becky Lynch at the 2026 Elimination Chamber to become the new WWE women’s Intercontinental Champion. Reflecting on the moment, AJ never expected to wrap gold around her waist during this feud with Big Time Becks.

“It was not in the cards at all. Even coming back, I just wanted to beat Becky’s face in once or twice. I was content with that. So for the title opportunity to come up, it’s sprinkles on top of the sundae. I am going to really enjoy every second of this.” – AJ Lee said on the Elimination Chamber post-show.

AJ Lee and World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk are expected to make appearances on the March 2 edition of WWE Raw.
