Ronda Rousey Set to Make MMA Return Against Gina Carano On May 16 for Netflix

Ronda Rousey is back.

The former women’s Bantamweight Champion will be making her return to the sport of MMA after a decade-long retirement that included her making the transition to the world of professional wrestling before ending her run with the WWE and subsequently doing less than a few matches on the Indie scene.

Here is the official announcement for the fight from Netflix themselves.

Rousey last stepped foot in the octagon when she was defeated by Holly Holm, and then a year later by Amanda Nunes in her attempt to win back the bantamweight gold at UFC 207 on December 30, 2016.

Carano fought for the inaugural Strikeforce Women’s Featherweight Championship where she lost to Cris Cyborg on August 15, 2009, this will be her return to the MMA octagon for the first time in over 15 years.
