Torrez Finney Reveals He Tore ACL And Both Parts Of His Meniscus Early In UFC 325 Fight
Wishing the best for Torrez Finney.
UFC 325 Aftermath
At UFC 325 on January 31st, Torrez Finney lost a decision to Jacob Malkoun. Many fan weren’t too happy about the fight, as backlash rolled in to say it was “boring.” Well, there may be a good reason for that. It was clear that Finney was hurt in the bout, but the extent of the injury, nor when it happened, was known until now.
Today, Finney took to social media to reveal that he has a torn ACL and also tore both parts of his meniscus in his right knee. He also revealed that he did it within the first 15 seconds into the fight, off of a simple step. He posted the video and noted that he did have surgery for the injuries.
Thank God he’s built me to overcome every obstacle I’ve faced and that will be the story once again. I tore my ACL and both of my meniscus within my knee. Got me into surgery the next day. He said it’s insane I was able to fight tearing that 15 seconds into the fight ✊🏿😈🔥
Knee injuries can be rough and require a good amount of time on the shelf to heal. We wish the best to Finney and hope he recovers to 100% as soon as he can.
