CMLL: Homenaje a Dos Leyendas Date is Set – El Satanico to Retire On The Event

Last night during the weekly CMLL Informa, several details where announced around the annual event, Homenaje a Dos Leyendas. Including the date and who would be the second Lucha Libre Legend that would be honored along Salvador Lutteroth, the founder of CMLL and Father of Lucha Libre on March 20th, 2026.

This year’s edition will be dedicated to one of the mos important Rudo figures in the history of Lucha Libre: El Satanico. El Satanico has been wrestling since 1973 and is still an active wrestler today at 76 years old. He has been part of the faction named Los Infernales from 1986 all the way to 2008, when the faction officially ceased, being the only member to be part of every era of the stable. El Satanico is a former three time CMLL World Trios Champion, Mexican National Trios Champion, Mexican National Middleweight Champion, a one time CMLL World Middleweight Champion and CMLL World Welterweight Champion and contested almost 50 lucha de apuestas throughout his career.

After the announcement was made, El Satanico directed some words towards the show, mentioning that he is honoured but also announced his official retirement from pro wrestling at Homenaje a Dos Leyendas. Mentioning he desires to hang up the boots in Arena Mexico, as its the place where he had his best matches during his long career and wishes to end it there.
