CM Punk On WWE Unreal: A Lot Of It Should Be Secret
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk was a guest on the Pat McAfee Show today. They spoke about a number of topics and one of the topics was WWE Unreal.
Below is what CM Punk had to say about WWE Unreal:
“I hate it and I love it. I watched the first season and I love the way that it humanizes people. I love that you got to see moments. To me, it’s just like NFL Hard Knocks. I watched the one with the Bears obviously and my wife was interested in it because it’s not sports. You’re profiling individuals that might normally not get the spotlight on them. And I see our show Unreal as no different. What I don’t like is peeling back the curtain a little bit too much. To me, Gorilla is sacred. They shoot so much stuff in Gorilla that I don’t think a lot of the time is anyone’s business. Humanizing people like Charlotte Flair or Rhea Ripley and showing the human behind the character that they play on TV, I think that stuff is beautiful. I think there needs to be some separation between church and state. Leave a little for us. This is us. This is what we do. A lot of it should be secret.”
